From theory to practice: A few days ago we started the measurement campaign in Freiamt and installed so-called power quality boxes at four measurement points in the grid (local network stations, cable distribution cabinet and field test participants). These are devices that perform and store many thousands of measurements of current and voltage per second. This measurement data will make it possible in the future to analyse exactly how the grid reacts in certain situations. In the coming weeks, the measurements will also be installed at other measuring points in different parts of the city and will serve KIT as preparation for dynamic modeling.
