Fichtner IT Consulting GmbH (FIT) is the largest subsidiary of Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, which has been family-owned since 1922 with around 1,500 employees in over 60 countries.
FIT deals with energy logistics in all its facets and develops system concepts and process analyses for infrastructure companies, covering operations and investment planning as well as strategy development.
Within the scope of numerous IT projects and individual programming, we have acquired extensive detailed knowledge of the process flows and the ICT infrastructures required.
In the flexQgrid project, we investigate which methods can be used to ensure communication and message transfer between all participating systems, thus ensuring a service-oriented integration of all software systems involved. Intelligent measurement systems and corresponding control units are also to be connected to the platform using IT technology. For this purpose, we use a communication and process control platform (Enterprise Service Bus - ESB), with the help of which - on the basis of a service-oriented IT architecture (SOA) - the orderly integration and process-related control of the various components can be realized.
The overall system should be able to handle sensors and actuators, such as intelligent measurement systems (iMSys) and corresponding control devices, as well as pure message transmission.
